Another long stage of 34 km with moderate climbs. The environment is similar to yesterday’s stage, but it is more wooded and less flat. With the exception of the last kilometers on the municipal road, the rest of the stage is on long dirt roads.
A cultural gem is the Romanesque church of Santa Marta de Tera, which houses a stone statue of the Pilgrim of St. James, considered the oldest statue of the saint.
Continue to my overnight stop today, Calzadilla de Terra, along dirt and forest roads. On the first section of about 20 km, the trees are burned by a forest fire.
